Another variable is how hard you are pushing to keep up on the ride. If you are going flat out from the start and working hard then you might find you will feel like throwing up if you have to much just before the ride. If you are just cruising and not going anaerobic then eating isn't so much of a ...

Re: Rust repairer needed - seeking suggestions
I've done a lot of body work on datsun 1600's i've had in the past.
I've also spent time helping a friend restoring a morris minor and welding the new panels in was no problem at all. forming up sheet to fill in gaps was a pain.
I don't have a welder. I still have all my body shaping hammers though

you can most probably get new panels to replace the ones that are rusted out. It's easier to weld a new piece in rather than weld patches in epecially on sections with compound curves and corners http://www.minisport.com/mini-body-repair-panels http://www.minispares.com/shop/classic/Body/Panel.aspx?...

I have had to do a bit of tweaking on one of the 2013 front derailleur. Set it up exactly as the manual says and then give the cage a slight bend where it's rubbing.
The chainstays on the bike with the rubbing problem were only 400mm from memory
Good choice on the wheelset :-}

Re: Entire bike shop contents up for auction today
Hi James, i'm glad you were only looking at the nanos as an onsell item. They have a big sticker on the box which says "Race Day Only"
They seem to light to have any longevity. Even the ti pedals wont survive anyone over 70kg

Not as easy as you think and a lot of bike shops are doing it very tough due to the amount of internet sales.
A bike shop who's owner comes to our shop for a beer sometimes has only just started breaking even after 12months and we know of a few that will be closing

The odds of the spokes being the right length are slim unless you do some homework and purchase a hub that has identical flange diameter. I re-use spokes when a rim is being replace so that the spokes stay in the same place. if the hub is to be replaced I always use new spokes. If you just want to p...

We send broken frames over to bike addiction to get repaired. The guy who fixes the frames used to be the composites guru at Ferrari apparently.
I have seen a trek madone that had been folded in half via broken top and down tubes repaired so that it looked like new and only weighed a bit more.

Power and data have been done but I still have the lighting circuits to run.
