I put mine on tonight, had to swap the bars as well. 55g extra swapping from my Deda Spectrums to Deda Newtons, and unfortunately for me, they're not my favoured 43cm O-O which i'll have to specially order one day. The GCB's went on fine, still need to sort out my position (move the saddle a bit for...

Fish and Chips shop on the Northbound side, between the bridge and the street we usually turn out of. I think it was the Dolphin Combo that i had when we stopped for lunch on one of our training rides. Delicious. :D

big chainring is 50, so using what fixedgear said, i'd say it's 50/46, biggest cog looks to be between 23 and 25, so cassette range is probably 15 or 16 to 23-25. Lindsay would bea ble to tell us exactly.

Doubt whether you'll need to stop for too much, you can fill up before you head back, and there're shops along the way.

looks like it was more the slight touching with the other rider that did it. If his tyre blew i'm guessing it happened while falling, as there appears to be a puff of dust appear at one point.

i believe those are maximum lifetimes, i've heard of people going through one in one race due to a slight skid when braking suddenly, less likely on the track, but as simon said, i'd save them for racing. The gp4000 are now being made with black chili rubber, initially (when the black chili rubber w...

i'd say priorities for track tyres are low rolling resitance, and low weight. You generally shouldn't puncture, but knowing you mike, maybe some mr tuffys would be beneficial.

I disagree with the view of coloured tyres being inferior, as black tyres are died too from what i remember, so they're just the same coloured, and natural would be a sort of brown (i think my track tyres are natural colour), and from my experiences there's no difference. Well definitely with contin...

I usually ignore the cameras when i'm stuffed, because i just don't care anymore. I could have just been trying to get a tiny bit more speed into the bike, just hoping it would all be over quicker.

I guess the climb up to Stanwell Tops is a bit easier, but it's still reasonably steep.

I got some Deda Newton bars on ebay, so i'll be able to test out the setup. Will probably have to stay with the Newtons until after the Tour of Bright as there's a time trial down there. Ok, i've realised i'm limited by budget once again, so i'll have to wait until i can get a suitable hub for conversion. Which means i'll be sticking with the Daccordi for now, just building a new wheel to test this 3 speed fixed gear sensation. I almost got a SRAM p5 hub for around $100, but i'd hav...
