The RNP for me is a real challenge, that is the Waterfall in Audley out, I;ve been told the Waterfall exit is even harder. I think the Audley exit is harder, even though it's shorter, it's also steeper especially at the bottom and more consistant, while waterfall exit flattens out for a while with ...

I've only got 11-23 and it should be fine, though it depends on your climbing style. My issue at the moment is trying to find some form, but hopefully my legs will start to come good over the next few days, so they can work well in Bright. Anyway, the hills are much longer than RNP, and even C-grade...

shimano doesn't have a compact front derailleur, and i find they're a waste of time anyway, as a normal front derailleur will work fine, the only situation it may not is when the mount is fixed and doesn't provide for a large enough range in adjustment to get sufficient drop to the compact chainring...

You can get some nice dura-ace track hubs from here http://stores.ebay.com.au/Buy-direct-fr ... idZ2QQtZkm
Price seems reasonable to me, as does postage.
You can probably get something for half the price though.....

I wasn't suggesting pulling the freewheel itself apart, just removing the freewheel body to get to the freewheel mechanism, and clean and grease that, though it sounds like the oil may have done the job to get into the freehub and wash some gunk out. After a bit of searching, forget what i just said...

Niobium rims are 30mm deep like the Deep V's, plus you get a weight savings. They're usually available in 16-20-24-28-32 holes. Though i'd have to do some checking to find the right drillings in stock. I think they'd cost about the same too, which is why i suggested them. American Classic 420 rims w...

That's right, some hubs prefer different oils, or greases depending on their freewheel mechanism. Too much grease and it's likely to perform poorly. I'm sure you've heard of people running track hubs on oil, however this means frequent servicing as the oil escapes, but surposedly keeps any friction ...

Fusions are 60g heavier than aeroheads. Deep V's are strong, but since Huw wants the wheels for racing, i reckon something a little lighter is nice, and the Niobium rims shouldn't be too much different in price to the DeepV's, but you'll save 200-300g, considering the Niobiums are 440-465g, and Deep...

Time to start deciding if you're willing to take on the challenge of the Tour of Bright. It's a tough but very enjoyable race, with plenty of beautiful scenery. For helmet cams, take a look here. http://www.helmetcamreview.com/ The ATC2K can be had for around AUD$150 with 2G memory card (maybe a bit more), though i'm unsure if the qaulity is sufficient. Otherwise the better ones usually require a camcorder to record onto as well as being more expensive.
