Dougie, FWIW I was in a similar mind set a while ago after losing out to gravity 3 times within a couple of months, for me I grew to blame (and hate) my cleats and pedals, let face it, they are bloody stupid things, I threated to whip them John Cleese style then replace them by fitting flat non clip...

Re: Dulwich Hill spotted
I recently picked up my new DHBC wind jacket and have been proudly wearing it on my daily commute. I noticed that since wearing the jacket other cyclists go beyond the customary nod to sometimes offer a raised hand, the odd “Hi” or even a smile, (yes, freaky I know). Why, even pedestrians seem mesme...

Re: 2011 Flat Tyre Competition
Anyone looking to increase their flat tire count you’d be wise to head down the Cooks River cycleway. About 50m nth of the Canterbury Rd underpass is a fine piece of sculpture in the form of a burnt out car. The artist(s) responsible have graciously left about half a metre of path for cyclists, and ...

I guess the second hand OCR caught my eye as it meant I may get into 105's for where a new bike would probably give me a lower gear set for my budget, but you are right, I should expand my search thanks all for your good and sensible suggestions and to the link to the sizing calculator, I'm now sure...

Hi I've just joined DHBC and have enjoyed hitting Centennial Park on sat mornings with the good people of the club. Don't get me wrong, I love my bike, but lately I've been eyeing off those sexy road bikes that silently whip past me. Starting with zero knowledge of road bikes, I've since been googli...
