Nice guess Huw: looks like a Regal at the back, BUT... looks kinda like a Turbo at the front. Not a San Marco Rolls. Not even a San Marco.

More clues:
They have not been made since 1987.
Each limited edition saddle has its own serial number printed under resin in the middle rivet at the back.

Coke is a performance enhancing drug if taken just prior to start, or during a race. It is a stimulant, and can affect the rider's state of mind as well as his endurance, etc.

You can be disqualified for drinking too much coffee for the same reason. Who here remembers Alex Watson?

I haven't been on my bike for nearly 2 weeks, thanks to this filthy cold, and the other night when I couldn't sleep, I decided to make a few changes. Totally co-incedentally, here's what I did... http://img245.imageshack.us/img245/3639/1996tecnos2smallmy4.jpg I'm hoping to take this setup out over t...

I always wear an undershirt, mainly for protection. Lycra/nylon will tear much more skin off if you go skidding down the road, whereas cotton will tear the fabric first, rather than me. Most of my undershirts are t-shirts that I was wearing when I was in school. They are at least 20 years old, and h...

Perhaps we can make "Cyclists Friendly Driver" stickers to put on the front of our cars, so that cyclists can see that they are not being threatened.   I have toyed with the idea of putting a sticker on the back of my car which offers cyclists the opportunity to grab my bu...

I would do the same if I had some yahoo on my tail, but I was no yahoo. I was giving him loads of room (several car lengths at ~25km/h). This cyclist was urging me to break road rules for his convenience/comfort, but it would have put both of us in danger, and that's my beef. I just wonder what he w...

Well, if we are going to get pedantic, then let's remember the rules of SI units, which dictate that there should always be one space between the magnitude and the unit; and that the unit is always written in lower case, except when the SI unit is named after a person (such as Isaac Newton). In this...

Suicyclist?

Here's my own crazy cyclist experience. I had just left home this morning, and was driving to work down my street. It is one lane each way, and quite narrow. I soon came up behind a cyclist who was riding hard against the left hand gutter, as is all too common these days. Anyway, I was in no hurry, ...

You are welcome to this 130mm stem if you want it.

It's no Cinelli. I think it's a Profile. A bit greasy, but almost new.

Let me know if you want it, and it's yours.

I was in Peter Bundy's shop the other day. He asked my opinion on 2 bikes he was selling. One was a Hillbrick, but the other was an Orbea for (wait for it) under $1,000 . Sure, the parts were fairly low (105 or lower), but they were all Shimano. Like all you guys, I spend way too much time cruising ...

This is mostly gobbledegook to me, since I use Campy almost exclusively. However, I'm amazed that: 1) There is still no carbon crank 2) Shimano is surrendurring its trademark windwhistler cables: Now how will I be able to tell who is running incompatible equipment whenI need a neutral wheel in a big...

The D grade bunch is much bigger than lower grades. Based on this fact alone, it stands to reason that the pace should be higher.

I'm not really all that keen on this one. Yes, it's clever, and yes it makes people all too aware that their senses can play tricks on them, but that's just the point. I can only see 2 ways to interpret this advert: 1) See it and not get tricked, which effectively tells the viewer: "You're obvi...

I'll add a few comments about E-Grade... I joined fresh after sitting out the first lap, but the pace felt pretty relaxed, so I don't think I had an advantage over anyone. I'd only been there for a lap, slowly moving up the pace line from the back, when Rocky had a go at me for not working. I was in...

This takes a bit of tact, but you have a chance if the driver is the ignorant type. Best course of action would be to calmly explain to the driver that he just nearly killed you, and that you would ask that he take more time to consider cyclists before doing it again. Getting a driver to realise he ...
