Easter Friday 30/03/18 West Head C28 pace no drop.

Traditional Easter Friday West Head adventure ride is on again this year. C28 pace, no drop. 125k's.

Rollout 06:00 at the square so back by about 13:30. Will stop for coffee and food somewhere, depending on chosen route.
Hopefully we'll get reasonable size bunch together.

Wed 27th Trouty & I are doing Watson's out 'n back C28 pace. Start 06:00 cnr New Canterbury & Constitution Rd Dulwich Hill; Then down New Canterbury so about 06:10 at cnr Enmore Rd and 06:15 on Wilson St. Out to Watsons Bay and then reverse it. All welcome.

Maybe the President still has them at his place. When I ceased being the kit wrangler in April I dropped a bag of skinsuits at his place. I'd try emailing the club dulwichhillbc@gmail.com and asking the question and / or post on the Facebook page.

A new kit order was placed at the beginning of April and delivery is expected in the 2nd week of May, including larger sizes and a lots of stock of wind vests in time for winter. Trouty & I will be doing this again this year but they've added 30k's on to the shorter route which is annoying. Right at my distance limit now at 120k's.

Personally I don't wear caps while riding as they're usually too tight (head too fat) and give me headaches - I'm a bandanna man :-) We don't have to get them from Cuore. Hi all - as the club kit wrangler I have been asked about caps before. Our kit supplier, Cuore, now does do caps and bandannas. I've not seen a sample of these but I'll talk to Drew. The DHBC ones I currently have are from Champion Systems with red / white stripes on the top and DHBC under the brim....

Bought some from Pam. My 2 cents.

They are fine for use on the bike to see the Garmin and probably to change a flat. The Dual Eyewear are better by 50% + when it comes to seeing a phone or in the car to see the analogue dials.

Hi Christine - the club doesn't run MTB rides but there are some active MTB riders in the club, most notably Tarryn & Andreas; probably less than there was though as the club used to have people doing 24 hour races etc.

I attempted to ride Middies 2 weeks ago and a Fasties rider was in the bunch having a ride with a mate. He said it was more a middies pace than 28's. Note that the Thur Hills route means we ride to Centennial via Enmore Rd, Wilson St and Redfern.

Only difference is we're not doing the corkscrew.

So if reported cycling levels are below 2013/14 levels, its because of 'the time of the year' ?

Pre all rides I have a double-shot coffee and a 'smoothy', the contents of which change depending on what we have available. At the moment that's water, sustogen, raw oats and a banana blended with a stick mixer. On Waterfall I'd then have some gel blocks and a energy bar of some sort. RNP I'd take ...
