Re: Sprint Specific Ergo Session Ideas
Your fast twitch fibres will have something like a 15 second duration (varies). To focus the training primarily on these you need to short maximal efforts and then allow a short period of time for them to recover. For example 15 second sprints, 45 seconds rest. Repeat 12 times. A little off topic b...

Sprinters say it is smoother. 50x14 is 96in 51x14 is 98in I'd personally go for the 96in if I was doing a longer endurance event. What is your target cadence? If you had a 14t cog i'd buy the 50t ring and stick with 96in. Not a bad gear for enduro events at DGV. What cogs do you have already? Give m...

Gator skins are brilliant commuters but are a bit slick in the wet. I too have had mixed success with GP4000s but have stuck with them. They still offer a good balance between longevity and race performance.
For race tyres I use Schwalbe Ultremo ZX but would not advise for commuting or rough roads.

+1 for a skin suit. No idea on sizing but I wear a medium race fit jersey if that helps.Christian
With the TT season rapidly approaching, can you avise when the thext skin suit order will go in? I'm after 2 large long sleeve suits.

Hey Dougie, I'm keen to repeat 3 Peaks in 2015. My accommodation was basic but the food was both included and brilliant. It was called Summit Ridge. Would do it again but would try to shop about a bit this time. Pete was close to the start and finish. I had a painful walk up the hill at the end of e...

Do you use lockrings?
So I'm a noob to the track and I've been advised that I don't need a lockring. Then someone said I'd be crazy not too. What is the consensus? Pending that, what is a good lockring to use and what tool is best to install/remove them? I have a chain whip, but no specific tool to do this at the moment....

Swaping Shimano Chainset - Loan of tools
Good point re derailleur height. Is there a good guide to getting the height correct? I've got the old chain so sweet on chain length.
Just checked that URL. That's the bit on the Park BB tool. Didn't realise it was a separate bit.

You need the end of the Park tool BB tool to attach the crank cap to remove the side to side play. Then Allen key to tighten the non drive side crank to the spindle.

Swaping Shimano Chainset - Loan of tools
Hi All, I've recently completed my share of big hills this year and wish to swap back to my Standard Shimano Hollowtech Chainset for crits and racing. Re: Foam Roller question
I have one long smooth roller and one that looks like a meat tenderiser. The smooth one is good for rolling out tendons and the rough one is good for a bit of a massage (or torture). Then a tennis ball is probably cheapest an good to start out on. Move up to a cricket ball (or rolling pin)
