I set up a demo road page so there is some info there for people, feel free to change it James... The banner photos on the side and bottom really need fixed up & the text could be better too. If anyone wants to re write it? Do it here & I'll just cut & paste... Plus if you guys have any good photos post them here & I"ll put them into the gallery.
Is there a problem with the layout of both the track and road page? All the texts are squashed to the right side of the page in one narrow column.

If you want someone to take the page over, I'll do it.

It's not a layout problem as such, it's just the way the web page design format is. If it was like powerpoint set up it would be alot easier but ir runs on boxes, you'd have to see it for me to explain it...
Jamesey boy is supposed to be doing the road page & we'll leave it to him. I'm just putting something there in the mean time...

I was thinking last night, Mick Mazza has a few good photots in his shop & Al has a few up on his wall. We could start by a asking if we could borrow those and scan them, just to get something up & running. I've been abit lazy chasing the book but if we start on the page it might give me some more motivation. Rumour has it Mick is coming to the presentation tonight If we give hime a lift, so we'll ask him then..
There certainly is plenty of info from Mick. I had a look through the 7 plus volumes of his cycling scrap book a couple of weeks ago. It is not only a gold mine in terms of DHBC history but there is also some pretty amazing source on the history of cycling in Australia.
Looks good. I'll have to find some time to sit down and get everything together. Photos for the side will probably have to wait until Grafton when we'll have some people to take some. The only photos i've got are from last years Tour of Bright (dec1&2 this year, tackles Mt Hotham on the sunday) and a couple of Eugen in the tour of tasmania.
Generally the text seems to cover everything briefly and can be expanded with other pages later. Thanks for putting something up, i'm just not organised enough to do everything i need to.
I haven't looked at the web page program enough to work out all its intricacies, though i don't think there's a way to spread the text wider without much a bit of hassle or different software.

Just to clarify this issue. It appears to be a compatibility issue with Safari 3.0 on the Mac. Firefox displayed well.I haven't looked at the web page program enough to work out all its intricacies, though i don't think there's a way to spread the text wider without much a bit of hassle or different software.
