I reckon this one will be better than the clarence st, hopefully more racing for us. I think there's some state titles linked into it though, so not sure what ill do, I'm probably in, we nowmally do both, though I think there may be a state title the next day too.

I'll do this one.

In fact I am racing all of the track events in the calendar except for state titles. A season of embarrassing myself! Nothing better for the soul...

Amy and Joanne did some fantastic riding. I think they are both going to do well over the season. Amy was amazing in that wheel race, she's getting so strong. I didn't ride so well. I was even struggling to keep the bike straight for some of it.

Although, I did come good for the final 16 lap graded scratch race. It was a world of fun and I thought we (Donna, Joanne, Amy and myself) all rode well together. Now I really want to try doing team pursuits at training!

Yeah Tim...it looks like you may only get 3 races in for the Clarence St Cup. I'm out for Clarence St. due to a weekend away at McMasters Beach. I will be thinking of you all.

Is there a reason no one's entered in this? I just looked up the start list (dreaming of being able to ride) and can only see Chidgey listed.

I suspect people have entered at the last minute - it's been 3 days since the start list refreshed.

I entered it tonight.

Just today I'm feeling like my back may not spontaneously split into two, so am aiming for the President's Cup now. I'll certainly do the whole Christmas Carnival.

In fact, entries are open for this one another 2 hours and I'm tempted ... can I seriously get fit in under 2 weeks, without being able to ride hills?

It's track, you don't need to train on hills. Quickest way to get fit is to race...you will be fine and it will be good prep for the Christmas carnivals.

That's up to you Tim, it is just an open. Also the title of this thread should be changed, it doesn't start at 1.30pm it starts at 7pm. The juniors start at 1.30.

Yeh, I was about to change it, as I'm assuming we have no junior entrants and no entrants for the points race, so first race for DHBC is 7pm

Man you lot suck at race reports! I didn't race, but was there for bits and pieces of it.

Victoria came 5th in the wheel race!! I know this may not seem like a big deal because amy keeps getting top three, but it is! Top 5 in a wheel race isn't some thing that happens every week! (Well it does for amy, but I'm assuming they will keep her handicapped out of it eventually (which hasn't actually happened yet, its just a bit harder at the moment))

Great ride by mike chidgey to make the final, seriously well ridden, sat in good spots and stayed at the front with some fast riders coming past!

Thanks Tim, I was pretty happy with it but would have been happy no matter what the placings were as I felt I raced harder than I ever have before... Which led to me wonder, is there really such a thing as racing super hard or does it just mean that all the other times you haven't been racing hard enough ;)

its about learning how to race race intencity or what ever, thats one reason they say you should race race race. Alex chubb kills me at doing it what ever it is. But yeah, this is why im always trynna work out how to train intencity, we need to not just be fit, but be able to ride that hard for longer!
