We're putting in a men's team pursuit team; ALex, Tim, Matt & a 4th rider to replace me. I was thinking about a women's elite team which only needs 3 but both Jess & Vic are touring today who have the elite licences. Team events are normally a good chnce to win medals, though the elite men's hasn't happened for quite some time.
Don't know if there is a carnival too & what events are being run?

Camilla, myself and Michelle P were going to put a womans masters team in - jut for experience, but Camilla is away and so is Michelle. I wonder if they will accept late entries? Looks like SImon you will be on coaching duty then. We're putting in a men's team pursuit team; ALex, Tim, Matt & a 4th rider to replace me. Entered the carnival
Just buy a new Pedro...that is what a credit card is for isn't it? Shame your not racing.Sorry, missed it. And I'm not keen on the $20 late fee. Not today. I just found out I'm either going to have to throw money at Pedro to get him road-worthy for Tassie, or buy a whole new bike.
Trying to follow up Jess as I can't see her entered either.

According to the web site, it starts at 4pm
http://www.nsw.cycling.org.au/cy_nsw/ra ... /10020.htm
I'm wondering if that's for everyone or just the elite riders?

yea we have a team, myself, john, tim and mat.
OK - I noticed some one took a picture of the Mens Team Pursuit team, with their bronze medals. Does anyone have this? I think it would be a great Picture for the front of our website. Congrats to "Annoying" John, Alex Chub, Matt Walman, Tim Llewellyn. The decider for the bronze was a beautiful race to watch.
Congratulations to the rest who didn't make a place - especially to Mike Clements who flashed his boney Glutes to us all after the crash, and Christian for not crashing after some one hit is rear wheel.

I thought the one thing about the team pursuit was that our club looked really well drilled as a team, compared to the other clubs and that the skinsuites made them look very professional. it was a fun weeken out, hopefully next year we can get together a women's team also!!
Good pics and good times. Looking forward to next year - I reckon we can put a decent dent into 4:43.hey will those pics be on facebook? can i put them on?
It's swings and roundabouts though, as some of you saw I had a decent prang at the bottom of the turnaround at Waterfall on Sunday. I'd just remarked to John that I had noticed a slow leak in my front and then 100m later it slipped out from under me...lesson learnt. Thanks to John and Michael Ch for helping me out. I'm stitched up now and covered in compression bandages. Hope to be on the bike for Sat but I'd say next week is more realistic at this stage.

Glad to hear your alright. That was defiantly the worst cut/gash on anyone's arm i have ever seen, did they have to stitch it closed?

The hospital gave it some stitches and crossed their fingers. The skin and flesh I had left didn't really match the wound so it's a matter of hoping the stitches do the job. You're not alone in your assessment of the hole in my arm though, the station master at Tempe came out when I was on the phone organising a lift home and slightly freaked out and tried to get me to go to Kogarah Hospital right then and there. She very kindly gave me some sterile water, wipes, dressings and concerned thoughts to take with me as I rode off home in the opposite direction. The shower I had when I got home was significantly more painful than the crash itself. I got my finger right into that hole in my elbow looking for gravel and the effort left me nauseous for a day. I can feel my stomach turning now actually...Glad to hear your alright. That was defiantly the worst cut/gash on anyone's arm i have ever seen, did they have to stitch it closed?

especially when you were pulling the skin back saying " What this white stuff"I don't have photos as it's still buried under dressings and compression bandages. It looked a bit like a burst sausage though. That should be evocative enough.
WOmans DHBC Master Sprint Team coming up in March. Finally convinced Killer Camilla she is a sprinter, and I didn't even have to bribe her with wine.I thought the one thing about the team pursuit was that our club looked really well drilled as a team, compared to the other clubs and that the skinsuites made them look very professional. it was a fun weeken out, hopefully next year we can get together a women's team also!!
