Next years Grafton bike?..Probably not built for sprinting eh!
Don't like the handlebars or the down tube shifters.
I think i prefer the extra .25kg for this one http://www.rouesartisanales.com/article-12169075.html
Then again, i don't like the handlebars on either!!

Simon, I saw that one the other day. I was wondering how much the fixie version would weigh?
James, are the wheels on that bike the ones where the spokes are woven into the rims, ie are one piece ?

Yep, they're the ones, i'd have to check how much is woven into the rims, but the spokes definitely wrap around the hub from what i remember, and they're unbelievably light for wheels with rims as deep as that, though there is increasing competition from LEW, and others.

I weighed myself yesterday and I weigh 2.5kg less than I did 3 weeks ago.
Eating less works!I weighed myself yesterday and I weigh 2.5kg less than I did 3 weeks ago.
Something happened....... Though i only try to drop weight from the bike until it starts to impact on function. Honestly i'd prefer something heavier than either of these bikes, something that looks good and performs well on top of being light!!I'm shattered... James what happened on that mountain??
Hi all. New user, first post...
In the words of Ernesto Colnago, "Everyone wants to climb on a 900 gram frameset, but nobody wants to descend on one." Might make that my signature...
On that Scott bike, I'm not sure that carbon fibre hoods would be too smart. I'd guess that they'd be next to impossible to install, and would prevent any minor adjustments outside of a workshop.

I don't think we should take it too seriously. It's just an exercise in extreme weight weenieism (if that's a word) with no practical end point.

Wouldn't matter if it was practical, if you rocked up to a major event with that bike you could be disqualified, it's illegal....
But it is cool....

There's a bloke who commutes Balmain to the CBD on a $6000 bike (doesn't ride it anywhere else), he would probably be up for this one.
Do the weight figures include everything?
Tyres/Tubes/Rimtape = 700g
Pedals?

Are you suggesting that I should do that too? There's a bloke who commutes Balmain to the CBD on a $6000 bike (doesn't ride it anywhere else), he would probably be up for this one.

A more modest bike would of been sufficient for the journey
Maybe he had that Robert/Mullens St section in mind.A more modest bike would of been sufficient for the journey

I've seen a guy on a CF bike with flat pedals, not even toe clips
Guess he was interested in the comfort of a CF bike and the convenience of a flat pedal.I've seen a guy on a CF bike with flat pedals, not even toe clips
Weights in my opinion include everything, though definitely not 700g for tyres/tubes etc. They're Tubulars and more likely 250g or so for the pair (tufo make some 125g tubulars). Pedals on the Scott are M2Racer ORB Ti, about 100g for the pair (maybe lightened futher), though no longer made (company ceased a year or 2 ago).Do the weight figures include everything?

One other thing, the Spin cheats with its partial cassette. The Scott is much more of a real bike.
