Hey all

Thought I'd give you guys an early look at a site I've been working on.
I'm doing a small run of beta testing with a few people before publicising it some more.

The site is http://www.sydneycyclist.com/

It's a social network type site, similar to Facebook or Myspace, except aimed just at cyclists in Sydney. There are a lot of small tribes in Sydney, and I'd like to get them talking a bit more so there is room to create groups for clubs, BUGS, locations etc and for people to see what they are about.

On top of that it's an easy place to start a cycling blog, or post photos and videos.

Come and have a look, if you like what you see, sign up and join the DHBC group and any others that take your fancy and say hi

Damian

Do want to run a link off this site? Off one of the main pages?

Heh

Well, baby #2 was born in September, that has taken a chunk out of my riding time. I've also had a lot of gigs on in the last few months, and late Saturday nights don't make for early Sunday mornings

The last time I came out I think I was fighting off a cold of some sort, Huw and I got absolutely *shelled* by Simon and JM when they took off on us. I lasted about 5 more KMs after that before my body shut down. I rolled back down to Sutherland and couldn't turn the pedals home, I jumped on the train instead. The 4 kms home from Redfern station were the hardest I've ever ridden. I was in my smallest gear, standing on the pedals just to turn them over. No fun!

I have been riding a bit over the last month though, just in my own time and at a pace I can sustain. I want to get back to Heffron in Summer.

T-Bone,

Therese bought some wine from your bottle shop today. 2 Malborough Wines for $30. I've had 2 glasses and one beer.

2 glasses of wine + one beer = something like 60k on the bike

Your at the bottom of the road page. THe best place I could find to put it. If you want to create another banner for it you can & I"ll replace it, maybe in red? If you know how to make it so the harbour bridge in the background moves or something, that would be really cool... If I was a tech head I would work out how to do it.... But otherwise I"ll leave it as is for the moment...

That's awesome Simon, thanks!

I actually want to change the design a bit, so in the near future we might have new look and a better logo. But these sorts of things can take forever, and I figured just getting it out there was more important.
