I can't believe I'm saying this, but I actually want in. This MTB thing is not going to get the better of me! And this looks like a nice one. Thing is I wanted to ride the individual pursuit next year and given it was on March 14 last year I fear another clash. Anyone know when the new track calendar comes out?

Does anyone know if this is an easygoing race? ie would I be side-swiped by dozens of riders as I lift my bike over logs and wobble through sand? I'll go into the bush tomorrow and see if I've become braver with age.

I'd expect this to be a very easy going and friendly event. For a lot of people there it will be much more about remembering Jimmy than a race.

I'm registered, but now not sure whether I'll go or not. Dad in ICU... So, I won't make up my mind til I have a better idea of how he's going.
