Hey i went out for a ride, Tim was there too. They had a big talk with me about if i was meant to be in B grade or not, as they have been having issues with A graders riding B grade.

They split B grade intop two, i was in the slower B grade :D The faster B grade caught us in two laps, then i think they may have had a break away or two right away, im not sure, as i was sitting right on the back of the pack, until an older lad that was yelling at every one looked like he was riding to the front and i followed him. Once i reached the front it was for some reason my turn to do a turn down the strait?! i was like yeah what ever, but tried to look impressive as we were passing the people in thecrowd, and dad was watching, so i sped up slightly.

This turned out to be a solo break away to bridge the gap, and not just me trying to look good for any photos they may take :) though after i was off i was like hmmnnn, dont want to get into the wind, so i went a bit faster and caught them before the first windy b8it which was the whole back strait. The next ten laps was then in the 12 lap break away, blah blah blah. Got to the sprint, and i was on the back (yeah i know the one bit of advice i give out is 3-5th wheel, not on the back), so coming down the strait i had to get from tenth to the front, and i didnt make it :( It was how ever a nice race, and it was great to see Tim there racing and have Dulwich hill on the podium :) Hopefully racing waratah park southern cross cruisy racing in the morning :)

Yeah nice work on the podium Tim! My parents were there watching too and they were pretty impressed the way you bridged the gap. Apparently you made it look easy! Also nice work getting into B grade after the write up they had on the RBCC website stating there was no way they were adjusting grades. I didn't see the finish so i missed your sprint.

I had another dog of a time in C grade. Sat on the back for all of the race up until the final sprint where i passed a few. Still finished mid pack after a few dropped out during the race but most of all i think i've turned the corner as far as lasting the distance.

Appreciated the encouragement Tim gave me as B grade went flying past. It kept me going to the finish and gave it a shot moving up the pack

Simon (alias Tim! )
