As a few of you may know Jellybean (my fluro green and pink fixie) is in a world of hurt. i cracked the fork(again) and have had to leave him in the bike shop waiting for Giant to get back to me. Well... bad news. i need a new fork and i can't get the original. but they will get me a new one. anything i want within reason.
i was wondering if anyone had a suggestion of brand/style i should look for.
It's going to be for bashing about on city pot holes and curbs so i was thinking not carbon. the frame is alloy, but i think steel track forks would be the way to go?
oh i want something black. i'm going to give Jellybean a bit of a make over, with black wheels.
Track forks
If they will pretty much give you anything, why not go carbon? Giant's policy (as I am certain you know) is that the frame (and forks) have a lifetime warranty. Why not get carbon then? It's comfy and usually sturdy. Those are my thoughts...

Pain in the bu**, having to change the forks. Which ones are they offering you?
anything i want... doesn't even have to be giant
within reason for price. so i had a quick look around and i don't know what i want.
i want something light, that looks good, can withstand a good bashing, and is balck black, i don't feel like doing any re-spraying, and i'm over white.

so the bike shop is slack. i went in and said i was clueless. they said they thought i was going to do all the research. after a bit of confusion i got a price range of about $200 to play with. and they said there were no black forks in the world. and this was as good as i could get...
