Has anyone experience with Speedplay Pedal maintenance? I'm looking at one of these http://www.probikekit.com/au/tools-main ... rlube.html and was wondering if anybody either had one or had used something cheaper to the same effect? Seems the lube socket thingo is proprietary?
Speedplay also advise to only use a dry lube like Super Lube Dry-Film lubricant like this >> http://www.lsc.com.au/product.paje?CATE ... m=Category on the cleats - anyone got the scoop on where I can buy this kind of thing (maybe a locksmith)? I've found wholesalers but not retail.
This article got me thinking about all this as my L cleat came loose last weekend >> http://www.cyclingtipsblog.com/2011/06/ ... ay-pedals/ and Jo's pedals really need lubricating.
Speedplay Pedal & Cleat Maintenance
....Isn't that what boyfriends are for? No not lubricating for those cheeky minds, I mean to do general bike maintenance. This article got me thinking about all this as my L cleat came loose last weekend >> http://www.cyclingtipsblog.com/2011/06/ ... ay-pedals/ and Jo's pedals really need lubricating.

I just have a cheap grease gun similar to THIS. It does the job, since all you're doing is pumping the grease through the pedal body. For the cleats a dry chain lube is fine.
This all reminds me, i should actually give my pedals a bit of maintenance one of these days.
