Anyone ever had an upset stomach after Waterfall?
A few times now I've had an upset stomach after the Waterfall ride. The suspicion presently lies with the tap water we tend to refill our water bottles with. Anyone have had similar experiences? I understand that it's common for the bacterial/parasite count in our tap water to rise after heavy rain eg. Yesterday, and loosely correlated other episodes. Just wondering if it's more than just coincidences.
I can't say that I have ever had any issues, but then again, I tend to have cast iron guts. Probably comes from drinking tank water at my parents that was tested to have E-Coli in it.

I occasionally get a squiffy tummy after strong exercise, and put it down to the physiological craziness and constant joggling associated with it.
Regarding Waterfall, I've always been OK - my belly always responds positively to Bobo's banana bread. I always refill from the tap, have never suspected anything.

Oh well, maybe it's just punishment for me for not attending club's Cafe Bobo debrief session more regularly. ![Rolling Eyes ](./images/smilies/icon_rolleyes.gif)

I've noticed a few people from other clubs refilling using bottled water from the shop. I wonder if they've had similar experiences?
I haven't experienced anything wrong, and I have a fairly weak stomach. I doubt it is any different to the tap water I fill my bottles with at home.

Never happened to me and I refill from that tap.
Upset stomach's are quite common in long distance racing riders and you were pushing it on Sunday.

Typically I have no problems with them either. But yesterday was another episode.Never happened to me and I refill from that tap.

It could also be related to me gulping down too much in one go at the 7-11. I'll try to even out the rate of intake a bit more in future.
Yes, they are squeaky clean. Good thought though.do you wash your bottles regularly?
I've never had issues, and the minimal amount of time i've washed my bidons sometimes in the past would make you wonder. Generally i don't need to refill at 7-11, though i've never had issues when i have, and i doubt whether quickly drinking water would do it.

Don't do that either.do you wash your bottles regularly?
Weiyun, it may of been a bug you were carrying before you left home and the ride brought it into action.
Nothing is impossible. If the water quality is ok, then the next most likely cause is gulping down too much cold water in one go and irritated my bowels.Weiyun, it may of been a bug you were carrying before you left home and the ride brought it into action.
