This is my first find. Not a super great find but good anyway.
I am lucky because it is a large frame; 62cm, so will fit me reasonably well.
Tubing is Columbus Tretubi Cromor. Seat post is under 27mm, assume it is 26.8mm.
Shimano 105 throughout, respectable.
Council verge find
Previous owner: very thirsty.
Nothing much to do apart from replace the rear wheel inner tube, some quick and rough rear wheel truing and some clean up and greasing. Although it is relatively heavy, probably around 11-12kg, it rides really well.

Now your going to become a triathelete
It's a bit of a strange find. Tyres were hardly used but obviously quite old judging by the minor crazing on the side walls.
The chain was stiff and the whole drivetrain seized up. Rear wheel out of true and caught on brake pad. Cleaned that up easy. Don't think the bike has been used that much. Probably a purchase 20-odd years ago, used a few dozen times, and then left forgotten in the garage.
The frame claims to be French-built. A quick google shows MBF was a subsidiary of Motobecane at the time - hence the big 'M' engraved on the bars and small sticker on the bottom of the seat tube.
Lovely father's day surprise. Happy Father's day to all the dads in the club!
