A spare road bike to loan?

I've had a week of disaster in the shed.

First, took the Bianchi to the shop for a new headset, and for a second opinion on some hairline cracks appearing in the paint on the chain stays just ahead of the dropouts. Turns out the frame is cracked in several places. I'll start the potentially prolonged process of a warranty claim this week.

Then, dusted off the Blom and went out training on Thursday. Washed it yesterday and found a crack in the down tube - not too bad after 34 years I suppose.

The final fall back option is my dad's early 80's Geering. Burnt the midnight oil last night so I could do the RNP run this morning. Got back home to find a chain stay had separated from the bottom bracket lug.

Bad luck comes in threes, so i am not expecting any more cracked frames - but there are none left in the shed!

Does anyone have a spare road bike frame, or a spare road bike sitting around that I could borrow while i sort out the Bianchi claim?

i fit a frame with a 55, or 55.5 or 56 cm top tube.

I''ve entered the Blayney to Bathurst for the first time, and keen not to miss out. I have a fair few parts in the shed, so if the bike is not complete that may not be a problem.

I've got a steel Omega I can lend. 56-ish top tube. Currently running 8-speed Shimano 600 with downtube shifters. Has done several time trials and other rides with a variety of riders. The Weinmann Delta brakes are not terribly effective, but nobody has died riding it yet.

I think its got a flat front tyre, but other than that its probably ready to go.

I have a 56cm TT 2008 Alu Merida Road Lite with 10 speed Ultegra and compacts. Currently needs the left shifter put back on and re-cabled. Brakes need re-cabling too (they are off of my Pinni - I swapped them for the Ultegras) - I have the brake cables. You'll need some wheels.

Good news!

Last week, the Bianchi distributor came through with a replacement frame at no cost under warranty. Better still it is a brand new version of the Sempre (sempre pro), better than my 2011 model, so I am a very happy customer.

However, cant bear to part with the CAAD 10, and the joy of having a bike to train/commute on, so thanks to Philip i am the proud owner of a Cannondale too.
