Its seems official now. We've been scratching our heads about our actual 100 year birthday and Arthur Donnelly (our club Commissaire) has been able to find the inscribed dates on a plaque he holds, noting this as the start date of our club.

Whilst its impossible to verify this through other sources - it is our only known source and therefore has just been adopted as the official birth date.

We are planning for a bigger formal funtion later in the year, but will now go ahead with an informal bash at the Gladstone Hotel from 6.30pm on Tuesday 8th April, 2008 - our 100 YEARS!.

We have some tables set aside in the beer garden and those who wish to order dinner from the restaurant can do so as they choose. Informal night, so hopefully will see you and your friends.

The beer garden is full of smokers. Can't we get tables inside? (as an ex smoker the smell appals me!) We'll be there anyway - its 5 minutes WALK up the road.
