I have been looking at getting some rollers, as have some others in the club. We may be able to get a bulk deal if we buy enough. I now have some information on the Basta rollers, still waiting for confirmation on the drum diameter. One thing to note is that they have metal end caps, not plastic like the Minouras. They will be around the $320 mark. I'll post more information as I get it. The RRP amount on the picture doesn't include the club discount we can get. This is what they look like.

I have seen Geoffs, they are Minoura Action rollers. My one issue with Minouras is the plastic end caps, for the amount they are meant to retail at (around $420) you would think they would be metal. The plastic end caps come away from the drum, just look at the clubs rollers and compare the ones with plastic verses metal end caps. Admittedly they have done a lot of work but why not get the ones that will last longer if they are the same price or cheaper. The Bastas just don't have the name. If I could justify the expense I'd get some Kreitlers, but they are a bit on the pricey side.

What size is the rollers? I've ridden the ones with smaller rollers and bigger rollers and I prefer the bigger ones, though its not a biggie

John at Ashfield will do you a set of the minoura's at the right price.

Peter and I are finding nice and quiet. No problems so far

Christian, here's the place I was telling you about at the track. $300 for Kreitlers is pretty good. Shipping is about $100 or so. It has plastic end caps though

The Basta rollers are going to be at DGV this Friday night, so if you're coming to RAW track, you can see them then, and possibly get to ride on them. I've been told the drums are around 90mm, the test drive will let you know what they are really like.
