Those attending, if you own Mag trainers or Rollers, could you please bring them so we can save the ones we have for those who don't own trainers

Is there someone who isn't doing the rollers but has the time to come and take some photos and or video?

I'd like to thank Ian Carswell for doing such a great job of the video and bringing all the audio and video equipment. Without Ian, last night wouldn't of happened.

Yeah it was pretty cool. Lucky the music was loud enough to drown out Michael Clements shouting out at us to push harder.....he was scary. Great night guys. Best position though is definately outside where Simon and Alex were smart enough to claim.

Thanks also to Michael Clement who came up with the idea and came out to do the filming, and Michael Chidgey for the great artwork.

There's no reason we can't do it all outside, if we were to do it again. I guess we could move inside if it were inclement.

The beer was great too. So close and so cold and so big!

No it was great inside too......the extra 2 kilo's I lost in sweat wasn't such a bad thing. Just stay away from Clements if you want to stay dry.

Does anyone know a place to get a canon video camera repaired? The tape from the rave rollers is stuck. It will not eject. When I turn the camera on, it says eject the tape.

Try shutting the camera down and then do a battery remove/install cycle and see what happens. Also try to operate the unit with power adaptor connected. If it still doesn't work, then it may well need a trip to the service centre.

alas that does not work. the tape comes half was out and then goes back in again. A 'helping hand' does not help either...

If it goes out half way then it means that the tape has fully disengaged from the capstan/rollers. If you dare, then try to pull the power while it's half out and see if there's a different out come.

Otherwise I'd also try to run the tape again. FF and REV all the way and go through some operations on the unit and see if they can "wake" the camera. But going with the manual on my earlier MiniDV Canon unit, remove and replace the battery is the correct solution to reset the CPU. Otherwise an under-charged battery may cause issues in cassette insert/eject sequence.

I've just updated to a flash memory based video camera. 32G for 9hrs of Full HD recording... Kiss tapes goodbye forever.

mm, after doing what you said, some fiddling with the tape, which was still around the pinch rollers, I got it to rewind. It still wont come out. Now to see if I can get the video off it.

Here are some pics:

Brian, I've dropped a disk with some photos and some video on it, but the video is no good.
