wow cool (ive read or posted about this some where before, maybe on facebook?)
i like the idea, cant think of heaps of reasons for hiring one, would it be for going out with the kids for a day? its not that cheap to actually buy a bike for riding with the kids every so often, so this could be heaps good for that!

20 bucks a week is pretty good (i dont know about the 250 deposit or drivers licence thing though)

These bikes are fantastic. If you want to have a look at one or have a go, I'll be borrowing the cabbie this weekend to take on the Annual MASSBUG Chochlate Ride. Details at: http://www.facebook.com/#!/event.php?ei ... 709&ref=mf

And if you're not sure about them, come along to the Marrickville Festival on Sun 24 October where the Watershed will be demonstrating them

I really like the sound of that ride. Do you think 8 or 12 year olds would be old enough to participate? They ride confidently & would handle the distance ok.

Yes, if they are supervised by an adult who takes responsibility for them that's fine. There is one long uphill towards the end, but most of the ride is easy.
