Nowra 54 km handicap race - Sunday 15th April

Great country 54km handicap race on at 9am this coming Sunday. Its open to all licenced riders and good practice for upcoming season. 2 circuits on good country road. About 14km slight climb (similar to stretch after Loftus going to Waterfall) followed by fast 14 km fast return and some flats at the turnaround. $15 only.

Come down on morning for 9am race (2 hours drive) or stay in cheap caravan park in Nowra or Bream Beach cabins At Jervis Bay which are good value.

This was a fantastic race. Nice big group. About 12km moderate climb, 12 km descent and t 4km only of flats x 2 circuits for all. Hard on heavier dude like me. We caught the three bunches in front with 3 kms to go. Came around the finishing corner in fourth wheel but I was shattered. Happy with this as a hard training ride. 34.5km ph average over 1hr 29 mins
