Fyi: the basic mechanics courses are on 4 times a week. They're all free and you can register at:
http://sydneycycleways.net/get-riding/f ... -beginners

In terms of more advanced mechanics courses... well, can do what I did and go to the U.S. (https://www.bikeschool.com/)! There is also group called the bicycle garden that are running a course advanced mechanics at Sydney Park. I think the first one is booked out, but you can get in touch via:
See: http://www.bicyclegarden.com/
https://www.facebook.com/BicycleGarden

I'd be happy to help out with some mechanics teaching but I'm working almost every weekend at the moment. It's a lot to cover, so I'd recommend braking it down into different systems on the bike. I.e. gears, brakes, headsets, BBs, wheels etc.

Just got word that a new 'Bike Shed' has been launched at the All Saints Anglican Church (325 Stanmore Rd, Petersham).
They meet up at 11am on Thursday for a free tune up, coffee and muffin.
Rather inconvenient time but hopefully this will grow and so will it's opening times.

They also plan to do weekly rides to Kurnell etc but I am sure DHBCs are much more enjoyable.
