I think Jeff is referring to an 'Alcon' or 'Alcone", not an Alon bike.
Alcon cycles was run by Bill Connelly who had a shop in Victoria Rd Marrickville from the 1940s till 1970. Bill was an active member of DHBC and made frames for many members. He died in around 1974. Several DHBC members covet these bicycles and when one does make itself available we tend to buy them up ourselves.
Jeff's best bet is to keep a look out on Ebay or Gumtree.
