Heading south for some hills! Dec 19th
Hi DHBCers,
It's getting to the pointy end of the year and with plenty of people heading to Adeliade for the Tour down under and Bright in Victoria for the Alpine Classic a few of us thought it might be a good time to head out and get some hills under our belts and time in the saddle! So on Saturday Dec 19th your invited to join in for a long fun day out on the bike. Pace will be a cruising 28's as there is plenty of climbing on this ride. See strava map for the full course, we may mix it up a bit on the day. Bring 2 bottles, food, cash, 2 tubes, and sun screen as we will be riding all day ( at least 9 hours ). Distance is around 195km . We would like to leave at 5.30 from the square in Marrickville . I will start a thread below. This is not an offical DHBC sanctioned ride,

Hi All,
looking forward to a great day out on the bike on Saturday. Just a reminder that it is 5.30am at the square in Marrickville. Forecast is looking great, 28-30 degrees with a light NE breeze. Don't forget your sun sleeves and sun screen!
See you all on Saturday,
Cam

Thanks Cam for organising.
Kudos to everyone who did the Wall for the first time.
Kudos to all who rode the full distance.
Quotable quote from Paul: "Mt Kiera is a nice steady climb with a bit of a kick at the end".
That kick at the end is so much more than "a bit".

Saw Cam roll in at about 6pm when I was mowing the lawn, solid effort from anyone who went. That's a long day in the heat!
