I've entered, does anyone want to do the team pursuit with me?

I am keen (47yo). Also try Sean Colley (41yo I think). With yourself at 48yo we make the combined 135yo entry level. With the event only 3 laps (Italian pursuit style from what you said) we should be competitive. Sean could lead out? as he is the fastests accelerator out of us 3. Hopefully UCI will accept a late additional entry (since we have all entered other events already).

Solid improvements in the 3000 pursuit today.

Ian Decker - 4m6.something seconds a 10 second improvement
Michael Clement - 4m9.8 a 5 second improvement

With a bit of time trail training, we both believe we could go under 4 minutes.

Difficult to say. There were 2 problems with my aero updates;
1. I'm not use to riding in that position, which targets my quads more, I need to adapt to the riding position.
2. My handlebars are too high. Not too evident on the video until you compare me with, for example Alex Simmons.

Alex R - 12th, but one rider was missing on the sheet, so we don't know
Beanzy - didn't qualify

Mikesbytes - 9th, easy qualification due to good tactics

M4 heat 2
Ian D - didn't qualify

Ian is racing in the team sprint with Daryl M and Brett (Burwood cycles)

I will be in the Scratch Final which is Event 65 at something like 9pm tonight. If Alex is in the Scratch Final, he will be in Event 67 at something like 9.30pm

Had similar issues.

Really don't understand why people put up these data intensive services when they don't have enough capacity to service the demand. Even NASA had this problem with the recent LCROSS video stream.

Well the final was a disappointment to me, early on I accidentally ended up off the front of the pack when the rider I was following put some stick into it, the pack caught quickly and I decided to roll to the back, but I muffed it and didn't catch the back properly, I raced around about 3 bike lengths off the back and should of just powered myself back on, but while I was physically up to the task, I wasn't mentally up to the task, so I pulled to pin and went for the infield.

Well, you were one of a very very few from DHBC to qualify for the final. So you should be proud of that fact alone!

Hey Mike - Watching the masters last night, we could see just how fast the pace was in a lot of the races - even 70 year old boys were gunning it. Well done for you and Alex R - who were the only 2 DHBC boys I saw last night.

Please congratulate Alex R on his performance in the M2 final. It was a gutsy race and he hung in there for a respectable amount of time.

Today I did yoga and really struggled, so tomorrow is a complete rest day.

Saturday is the points race, I think I'm the only DHBC entrant. For the heats (60 laps), I'm in Event 187, which is the 3rd event after the 9am commencement, so I'm guessing 10am. If I make the final (80 laps), its Event 197 possibly around 5pm, but hard to tell the time, its the 10th event (8th race) after 12.30pm.

UCI world masters points race qualification (60 laps)
It was clear early on that there was no sprint in my legs, so around mid race I went solo off the front and built up a reasonable lead, but the pack reeled me in and once again no points. I tried the same again, but this time the pack came with me, so it boiled down to the last sprint, where I came 5th, which meant that if they didn't have 10 riders with points then I would of qualified, but there was exactly 10 riders with points, so I came 11th and didn't qualify.

After all of this racing it was a relief not to qualify, I've done so much racing lately, too much racing.

However I enjoyed the points race and learnt a lot, it was the first points race I had done outside of the ones at the ominum. I look forward to doing other points races.
