Hey guys I haven't confirmed the availability of the venue for the date yet but will do on Monday. But just to give some notice, the expected date is in two weeks on Sunday the 16/8/2009

Criterium Racing: Sunday 16th of August 2009.
Location: Dunc Gray Criterium circuit
Start time: 7:30am- 8am
Expected finish time: 8:30am-9:30am
Grades: Slowies (C), Middies (B), Fasties (A)
Cost: $5 for racing
Prize money: nil.
Distance: approx 30kms but based on who shows up, less for slowies, maybe more for fasties
Type of racing: Scratch race for A grade with 3 intermediate sprints and a handicapp combining B & C into a fair seperate race.
One day licenses: No, too costly at present.

The plan is that everybody meet at Mick Mazza's at 6:30am as usual & ride out together race & ride back as like last month. The route has been found to be suprisingly safer & quieter than expected.

If anybody chooses to drive out or is coming from another direction & doesn't know where dunc Gray is; here's the map:

Are there any day racing licenses available at the moment? I would be interested in having a go but don't want to stump up for a full license this week, having already bought a new bike and having to stump up for a new front fork for the other one.

Ta.

One day licenses are rediculously expensive so we decided against them...

hey i think i want to ride a national park-plus some extra hills ride after this, it was going to be bulli pass, but ive heard the traffic would suck. So some sorta bigish sorta ride, probably not a cruisers ride, though we might be slower after the crit

nice work winning today John :D

Man my hopes and dreams were dashed today! (well only finishing 5 laps of the crit did it to start with, but then on my after race warm down ride, i did a litle park ride, a bulli pass, but then half way through the park on the way back, it was closed?! a crash?!! so i had to do all the way back and just go up the waterfall one instead?! and because i didnt ride enough in the morning i only reached 230km :( if i had done close to another 20 in the crit, i would have reached 250?!

Sorry I missed it. I woke up this morning with a massive headache. Ate some breakfast / nurofen & stretched neck out to see if it would go away but by 7am I was still hurting and had to go back to bed.

Tim, I'd planned to go riding with you today too. Been enjoying the long rides.

I missed it too. Seem to be lacking a bit of motivation at the moment, with lots of other stuff getting in the way of cycling.
